In the Guardian is a story about the sole survivor of a tribe of people that were killed by loggers/farmers in the 1990's.

If it is true, it does seem a bit sad that the man has been on his own for the last 25 years and has little to no hope of finding anyone to share his life with.

I honestly don't know how long i could have survived under those conditions, all alone, with no one to help if the need arises. Then there is being on his own with no one to talk to for all that time as well.

He'd have known no other way from the start though. They reckon there's at least a dozen tribes, which whilst "known about", they have yet to actually make contact with. If they are more than just "campfire stories".

He'd know places exist that others may not, caves/caverns. Enabling him to stay out of sight. Maybe he didn't want to get involved.

One of the good things about going to the countryside at night, is to walk with no lights. You'd be amazed at just how much you miss, sights and sounds.
