In a story this morning, ( it was on my phone, not sure where it originated) Amazons echo is apparently laughing at owners when being given commands. Echo then ignores the requests. This has lead to some owners becoming so scared of their devices that they are turning them off for fear fhat they will be attacked somehow.

Amazon say the problem is in the software and that sometimes echo mishears what is being said to it and laughs instead.. It also tends to happen when they are being told to do something like turn off the lights.

So do not be afraid. Your echo is not going to attack you somehow when you are asleep. :okay:

Owners of Amazon Echo devices with the voice-enabled assistant Alexa have been pretty much creeped out of their damn minds recently. People are reporting that the bot sometimes spontaneously starts laughing — which is basically a bloodcurdling nightmare.

I don't think there is any conspiracy, but maybe some echo owners did. ^_^
